They are load bearing dynos and allow you to increase or decrease load at a specific rpm thus allowing you to tun part throttle However 1 is what makes them read slightly higher than the usual dyno where you are strapping down the car. A lot of this can be compensated for in the dyno setup but most people like higher numbers so dyno operators leve it alone. Harry
